HAF pomegranates

We have a pomegranate tree.  When we moved here, we’d never seen one or eaten one.  Now our fall traditions include picking hundreds of pomegranates, juicing them, and figuring out ways to use them.  This week I’ve been making pomegranate molasses, pomegranate chocolate chip oatmeal cookies, and homemade pomegranate-banana popsicles.  If you have any great pomegranate recipes, please share them with me…I have about a hundred more to use up!

We’ve had to cancel all of our company plans for the past two weeks because the kids and I have been hit with a horrible cold.  Even when you’re prepared to practice hospitality, sometimes it’s just not the right timing!  Oh well.  As an addendum to my thoughts on Monday, here are some more great ideas for practical hospitality from Christina at To Show Them Jesus.

And from my oldies-but-goodies file, here’s a great piece by Rachel Jankovic on learning to love your calling at home.

Have a wonderful weekend!
