Hidden Art Friday

Happy Friday, everybody!

I am blessed to have a husband who really does not travel very often, for which I am very thankful. He is gone right now for a four-day weekend, though, so the kids and I are livin’ it up. While the cat’s away…

When he does go out of town, I have a couple coping strategies. First, I never cook. This weekend, we are doing cereal, frozen pizza, and waffles, and mac-n-cheese (my son makes the waffles and mac-n-cheese) for dinners. Second, I try to plan something really fun together. Yesterday, the girls and I did henna tattoos. My local Indian market sells the henna for $2, so it’s really a bargain for hours of fun, between the planning, painting, and drying.

Our family didn’t see Frozen when it came out at Christmastime, so tonight we will be watching that together, while we sip on homemade chocolate milkshakes.

Are you reading along with our book club? If you are, start thinking of questions you’d like to ask the author, because we will get to ask him a few once we reach the end of the book!

Have a good weekend, everybody!
