Hidden Art Friday

organizing the pantryIt’s a girls-only weekend at our house, as my husband and son are back in the Midwest to visit my in-laws.  On the agenda: organizing (can you tell my pantry needs some TLC?), reading Betsy, Tacy, and Tib, playing with dollies, painting our toenails, and probably watching some Pride and Prejudice.  Last night, another friend whose husband is out of town decided we needed to combine our leftovers and have dinner together.  It was so fun (kids play, moms talk, everyone is distracted from missing Daddy too much) that we’re doing it again tonight!

Elsewhere on the internet…

oh Amanda’s post on Making Your Car a Sanctuary inspired me this week.  What do you listen to when you’re driving your kids around?

I’m excited that Heather Haupt is doing a whole blog series about gift ideas that inspire learning–I’m taking notes for the kids’ Christmas lists!

And speaking of Christmas, our lovely blog designer, Jennifer Allevato, just revealed her new Christmas card designs.  At Christmastime, do you send old school cards, a Christmas letter, photo cards, or nothing?  Is it crazy that my kids have started pulling up the Christmas albums on my itunes account already?  I think they’re starting to learn carols for the Christmas concert at CBS. =)

Have a great weekend!

Every year I want to do a cool creative Christmas card and then it always ends up a photo card from CVS and it’s usually shows up their mailboxes December 26. 😉

Thanks for linking to my car post!
