Peaceful Playlist

Ever since Anna and I blogged about our coping mechanisms for that horrible before-dinner hour of craziness, I’ve tried to use music more often to set a peaceful tone to our home.  Often I’ll just play a beautiful piece of classical music–Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto or Vivaldi’s Four Seasons–but I’ve also put together a playlist of scripture-based songs that focus our minds on things above.  Here are some of my favorites:

Love and Fear (Psalm 19)Love and Fear by Pacific Crossroads Worship

Hide Away in the Love of JesusCome Weary Saints by Sovereign Grace Music

Holy Spirit, Living Breath of GodHymns for the Christian Life by Keith and Kristyn Getty

Oh the Deep, Deep LoveCome Weary Saints by Sovereign Grace Music

PeaceTo Be Like Jesus by Sovereign Grace Kids

Give Me Self-ControlTo Be Like Jesus by Sovereign Grace Kids

You Alone (Psalm 56)Love and Fear by Pacific Crossroads Worship

Amazing GracePure by Hayley Westenra

Hymn to God the FatherTwentyone Even by Jolly Napier

1 John 1:7Walk Humbly by Mark Altrogge

Do you use music to promote a peaceful or positive atmosphere in the home?  What can I add to my playlist?
